Tyrese Gibson as Mace Williams in Star Wars: The Jedi Path
Mace Williams is a supporting lead character in the TV series Star Wars: The Jedi Path. He is played by actor Tyrese Gibson. Mace becomes the second apprentice to join the Jedi in the fight against the Sith, second to C.J. Thorpe. Originally Mace was under scrutiny by Dathaine, viewed as a potential adherent. But it is decided that his personality will not mesh with Sith ideals and he is targeted for assassination. He is rescued by Starkiller and Thorpe and they reveal the truth to him.
At first Mace refuses to enter the centuries long battle, only after his wife and child are murdered by the Sith does he agree to be trained. Fearful that he might succumb to the Dark Side of the Force, Starkiller closely monitors his training in the beginning. Mace's first story arc ends with him successfully turning his anger back when he confronts Darth Varius for the first time. Varius having killed his family. Over the years Mace and Starkiller become close friends and allies. When Starkiller joins with the Force of Others as part of his greater destiny, he leaves the Jedi Order under Mace's leadership.
